GET INVOLVED
There is more than one way to build a better block.
Bring your time, your idea, your organization, your support, or simply your curiosity. Better Block SGF works best when more people have a hand in what comes next.
Start where you are.
It takes a lot of hands to make a place feel like it belongs to everyone.
Every volunteer shift, partnership, sponsorship, donation, and good idea helps create more room for people to gather, connect, and shape their city together.
Whether you are giving time, sharing expertise, opening a door, or investing in a bigger vision, your support helps move the work forward.
WORD ON THE BLOCK
Partner with Us
Good places take good partners.
Partners help turn an idea into something people can actually experience. They bring a space, local knowledge, people power, technical expertise, materials, or a willingness to try something new alongside us.
That might mean working with a property owner to activate an underused site, collaborating with a university to create hands-on learning, or teaming up with public partners to make sure an idea is safe, practical, and ready for the street.
From community spaces and campuses to corridors and parks, we work with partners who want to make their place work better for people.

Sponsor Better Block
Help make the next move possible.
Sponsors help turn possibility into something visible. Their financial and in-kind support fuels the events, materials, artists, installations, and hands-on work that bring people together and help a community see what could come next.
You can support Better Block SGF’s work as a general sponsor, invest in a specific event or corridor activation, or contribute the goods, services, and know-how that help make a project happen.
Whether it is funding a larger vision, providing plants or turf, lending equipment, or helping create a place for play, every contribution helps build more room for connection, creativity, and community.

Just have a question?
You don’t have to have it all figured out to start a conversation.
Not ready to volunteer, donate, or partner just yet?
That’s okay. You do not need a fully formed project or a big plan to reach out.
Whether you want to learn more, share an idea, book a talk, or ask about a future opportunity, we’re happy to help.
